A large collection of correspondence, speeches (originals and copies) and other writings of Sir Alec Clegg, during his time as Chief Education Officer in the West Riding (1945-74) and children's art work collected from various West Riding schools between 1930 and1974. The collection includes photographs and a library of books, film, cassettes and slides with tapes and scripts and documents and tapes from Tasmania and Canada. Also included is a catalogue of Clegg, and other Education Department papers deposited at the West Yorkshire Archive Service Headquarters. Some additional material is not available to be used online and some is uncatalogued.
